IDA is hiring a program coordinator
The Indigenous data alliance seeks a part-time program coordinator
The Indigenous Data Alliance (IDA) seeks a part-time (10 hours per week) Program Coordinator to start immediately.
About the role
IDA is an Indigenous women-led community of data scientists, researchers, policy analysts, and relatives with an all-Indigenous Board of Directors and majority Indigenous staff. IDA creates an alliance among the US Indigenous Data Sovereignty Network (USIDSN), the Collaboratory for Indigenous Data Governance, and the Data Warriors Lab.
The Program Coordinator will be a critical team member supporting IDA’s three core project areas in the following ways:
(1) Training Indigenous Data Warriors: Help organize leadership development, intergenerational learning opportunities, and community retreats;
(2) Producing Policy by and for Indigenous Peoples: Coordinate the creation and distribution of briefs, reports, and other resources that strengthen IDSov and IDGov;
(3) Building Data and Infrastructure: Assist with internal systems and external capacity-building that enables Indigenous communities to design and govern their own data systems.
